A company forged from the experience of two leading vision care plans

Meet Versant Health

Our vision is become the most trusted managed eye health and vision care plan for members, clients, brokers and eye care professionals in the industry.

Serving more than 33 million members nationwide, Versant Health is one of the nation’s leading managed vision care companies. Through our products – Davis Vision and Superior Vision – we cover the entire spectrum – from routine benefits to medical management.

Our customers can access quality eye care and depend on a seamless experience through plans that accommodate a broad range of demographic and economic needs at both the individual and organizational level.

Through our tireless commitment to vision care, we aspire to help all of our members enjoy the wonders of sight through healthy eyes and vision.

A new all-in-one solution to vision and eye health management

Vision care has changed a lot since we started, and we’re always thinking ahead to drive better approaches and improved outcomes that enhance your life.

In addition to delivering quality routine vision and corrective eyewear, Versant Health offers a full spectrum of medical management. From utilization overview to medical claims review, we help to manage cost throughout the care continuum.

Medical advisory council

Our policies are validated by a medical policy council made up of independent ophthalmologists and optometrists. All eye care professionals on the council are in active practice and have either trained at or are currently affiliated with the country’s leading institutions, including Harvard’s Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.

A new perspective on the scope of vision care

Did you know that more than 25 medical conditions can be diagnosed through a routine eye exam? Our eyes are the windows to our health – literally.

Eye care not only has a dramatic impact on overall health but also on the costs associated with systemic diseases. Routine eye exams support early detection and treatment of more serious or chronic conditions, contributing to an improved outlook and quality of life.

But comprehensive eye care is about more than just seeing 20/20. Versant Health goes beyond annual eye exams and corrective prescriptions by offering the systems and expertise needed to manage the entire continuum of care. Our three complementary core services – wellness vision, utilization management, and medical claims review – are designed to deliver quality, individualized care while still maintaining cost efficiencies.

Provide eye exams and corrective eyewear while promoting early detection and treatment of conditions.

Ensure your members get the right care in the right place at the right time.

See cost savings by eliminating reimbursement for unnecessary and / or duplicative procedures.
