Auston brings more than three decades of security experience to Versant Health
BALTIMORE, Maryland, June 29, 2022 – Versant Health, a leading national managed vision care company and wholly-owned subsidiary of MetLife, is proud to welcome Auston Davis as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), effective June 27, 2022.
Auston has deep experience serving in information security leadership roles over the past three decades and understands the importance of IT security for any company, particularly health plans and managed care organizations. Most recently, Auston served as CISO at HeartFlow, where he led global security strategy and operations and drove risk management. Prior to this, he served as CISO at Stanford Children’s Health, Deputy CISO at Kaiser Permanente, and Director of Global Threat Response and Investigations for Symantec. Auston has extensive knowledge of strict regulatory requirements and how they impact security, plus a keen ability to creatively consider how IT security impacts all business functions.

Auston is a 23-year veteran having served in the US Air Force and Air Force Reserves where he held multiple computer crime and security roles.
Auston holds a Masters in CIS-Cybersecurity from Boston University and currently teaches as an adjunct professor at San Jose State University in San Jose, CA.
