BALTIMORE, MD, March 20, 2019 – Leading managed vision care company plans virtual reality vision experience.
Versant Health and Transitions® have planned an interactive vision experience at VISION EXPO EAST, held at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, starting March 21, 2019. Exhibit attendees can experience vision impairments associated with common eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataract, and macular degeneration using virtual reality (VR) goggles connected via smartphone to Versant Health’s interactive website, versanthealth.com/VLS.
Two thousand sets of expandable VR goggles will be given to attendees, and Versant Health will also give away five sets of Homido V2 VR goggles via raffle during the course of the three-day EXPO.
“By placing tools, such as this technology, in the hands of our providers, we can encourage them to have meaningful conversations with their patients about the importance of routine vision exams, eye health, and early detection of some chronic diseases,” says Nate Kenyon, Vice President of Provider Operations and Support for Versant Health. “But, mostly this activity will help our providers understand the impairment their patients face when they have certain eye conditions.”
