Vision To Learn

Versant Health collaborates with Vision To Learn, a non-profit that has provided over 250,000 children in low-income areas with free eye exams and glasses through their mobile eye clinics. Over the years, Versant Health associates have supported Vision To Learn with donations of over $250,000.

How Vision To Learn (VTL) Works

The free-of-charge program begins with vision screenings for all students, utilizing medically appropriate tools. VTL assists the school’s nurses or health department with initial vision screenings. Students that fail the initial vision screening receive an eye exam at VTL’s mobile clinic. Students that are prescribed glasses get to choose their frames from a wide selection. They receive their frames a couple weeks later. VTL operates in Washington D.C. and over 15 states across the U.S..
